Investment Grade Shrimp
Western countries should be taking notice of Vietnam’s initiatives
as it leapfrogs some of the stumbling blocks that have slowed and stagnated some of the world’s developing nations and in the case of Ming Phu, the burgeoning giant of seafood farming and processing, some companies are building in sustainability from the ground up, not bolting it on as an afterthought.
An existing 9000 hectares of mangroves will grow exponentially over the next few years to ensure that at least half the shrimp Minh Phu produces will be organic and sustainable. And its dominance in the processing industry in Ca Mau, one of Vietnam’s most productive fish farming areas, is testament to the company’s scrupulous attention to detail.
